We spent Sunday night in the B&B again and after a huge and delicious breakfast (my favorite"B" in B&B), we started our drive out of the mountains, back west to Pleasanton, CA where Bogdan had to be at work later that morning. The next few days (and nights!) Bogdan worked and I explored the area.
I checked out the Pleasanton Downtown, went swimming in the hotel pool, stocked up on some items at the local Target (essentials, like a new shirt), and spent two whole hours at the mall - something I have not done in years. It was nice to finally get some rest and relaxation on this vacation (for me, at least).
Wednesday night, Bogdan's coworkers invited me to join their team for dinner "in the city" at a cute little French restaurant near Union Square that had great food and good wine. We left Pleasanton on Thursday afternoon and checked into our hotel in San Francisco (everyone works from home on Friday), and so began the second installment of our Nor Cal vacation...
