The bedroom - so close to being finished

We reached a major milestone this weekend (and I don't mean the cookies), we finally got our bedroom to a point where it looks presentable. And so I will present it, in a second.

This room was a long time coming. I found and got the dresser the first week we moved in, we painted the room back in January, we bought the bed around the same time and then waited weeks for it to come in, and then in one weekend we bought a great rocking chair, we ordered bedding, and bought curtains. And this week, we bought a box spring.

I mentioned back in January that we found nightstands, but the longer they stood next to the bed, the more we realized we hated the color. Hated it.

So we bought paint stripper. And last weekend we spent the whole Saturday afternoon working on one (one!) nightstand getting all that dang paint off. This weekend, while I was cleaning the pantry and eating inordinate amounts of raw cookie dough, Bogdan finished sanding and then painting the one nightstand. Earlier in the week, we got, yet another, "Welcome to your new home" flyers in the mail, and this one was for two free sample cans of Benjamin Moore paint. So the paint was free, and the color looks great.
